Thoughts in the mind of a scatter brained workaholic single mom

Conservation of Resources Peak Oil

Peak Oil

Peak oil is when the amount of oil compared to how much is used is equal.  We are not at peak oil only because oil companies preserve so much of the oil.  They have placed oil in barrels in reserves over many years.  Peak oil has been a concern for a long time for them to have started doing this.  Not only is how much oil there is a concern but how much the oil cost and will cost in the future.  When oil is coming from a reserve it will definitely cost more.  This oil is the back up for when not enough can be drilled to meet demand.  Oil is something that will always demand more and  more due to massive growing population.  It seems like the ones with the oil are being greedy hogging the oil, but really it is to preserve it for future use.

“Determining how long the oil supply will last has become even

more pressing because the world’s energy supply still relies heavily on oil, and

global energy demand is expected to rise steeply over the next twenty years.”[1]

Not many people will know when we are at peak oil due to the reserves and subsidies help to hide when it is at peak or not.  The countries with the oil subsidize and play “games”, lol I don’t know how else to say it, just for this reason to not let it be obvious what is going on with it.  This helps these countries be at peace with other countries without the oil.

“Very recent variation of the change of rate of production data has

shown negative trending due to the recent economic conditions. It is unclear for how

long the current economic conditions will persist and demand may be may constrained.”[2]

For the future generations, we should put more subsidies into using different energy sources and make mandatory to recycle all plastic.  All manufactures should only use recycled plastic.  Also, teach children the importance of saving the planet.  Let the children become our heroes that I know they can.

There needs to be truth and disclosure with world energy among all countries to be at peace and work toward a common goal to keep energy sources for everyone. Alternatives for energy should be looked into and gradually teach the younger generation to learn how to make and use things with the new energy sources.  This way people with employment using old energy can gradually enter workforce using new energy.  Solar energy should be used during day on all cars and at night electric power.  More study on nuclear fusion should be researched and scientist studying this should be subsidized.

With co-operation from everyone technology and energy will be around forever.  I believe more and more use of different power is necessary now to prevent the peak oil.  Ignoring this and arguing and fighting playing games with the oil are not going to solve the problem.

  7. Peak oil is a scam manufactured by the oil companies to create artificial scarcity and drive up profits for transnational oil cartels. It was first originated in 1956 by Shell Oil’s M. King Hubbert, who said that only one and a quarter trillion barrels of crude were left, a figure that was surpassed at the end of 2006. According to Hubbert’s original calculations, the planet should already have produced its last drop over a year ago.Best way to really get peak oil is stop drilling. My envio- wacko friends want $10 / gal gas to save Gaia, screw the working man.
